Kevin Cossom + DJ Ash Boogie Exclusive Interview
Kevin Cossom, singer and songwriter behind some of your favorite hits like Keri Hilson's "Knock U Down," signed with N.A.R.S/Jive Records took time out to let me in on his life, before "the artist." While working behind the scenes as a songwriter helped to pay the bills, Kevin knew in his heart of hearts the stage with mic in hand was his ultimate fulfilment.
Starting from the bottom of the totem pole and steadily finding his way to the top, KC can identify with being on both sides of the fence, as a songwriter and an artist. He grasped the importance of his network building his net worth which allotted him the opportunity to rub elbows with super producers The Runners behind hit songs, Young Jeezy's "Go Getta," Ace Hood's "Cash Flow" and Danja who produced for Diddy's Last Train To Paris, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake just to name a few. Danja is also the man behind the label N.A.R.S (New Age Rock Stars) with Kevin being one of the first artist to release off the label.
Kevin covers topics from his groundbreaking new single, "Baby I Like It," featuring Diddy and Fabolous, record placements for R.Kelly, what to expect from his debut album, who he wishes to work with in the future from Ryan Leslie to Pharrell, and his upcoming mixtape "BY ANY MEANS," scheduled to release on March 23.
