A few moments later, Keyshia went on to tweet what seems to be the underlying factor behind her decision,
Although Keyshia has revealed her decision to move on from Manny Halley's management, she hasn't spoke in depth on the situation which leads speculators to conclude it was because of low record sales.
Keyshia Cole's latest album, "
Calling All Hearts," which released late last month on December 21st sold 128,000 units in it's first week leaving the album at No.9 on the Billboard album charts, in retrospect to her last album, "A Different Me," which did exceptionally well went on to sell 322,000 units during the first week and peaked at No. 2 on the charts. As of January 9th, "Calling All Hearts,"only sold 181,300 units.
According to the
Associated Press, Keyshia stated her latest single, "I Ain't Thru," featuring
Nicki Minaj, was a bad decision and her label, Interscope Records agreed.
"The label didn't really want to drop the record because they knew ... that people wanted a more intense, soulful record from me about love and I really should have followed (their) direction,"
Apparently Halley felt indifferent and pushed for the singles release. "I Ain't Thru," peaked at No. 54 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop song charts.
At press time, a rep for Cole did not respond to a request for a statement.
