Brandy visits HOT 101.7 FM to talk about her new single, "Put It Down," ft. Chris Brown off her new album 211 set to drop on October 2. The video for the new single is already a go, directed by Hype Williams and Brandy is well and ready for her fans to see the finished product. R&B is suffering and Brandy's new album will definitely fill that void we've been missing. The album 211 will have sounds of R&B with an edge and some Hip-Hop flavor. Some of the producers/songwriters that helped out on the new album are Bangledesh, Esther Dean, Rico Love, Sean Garrett and The Writers Camp.

Singer/songwriter, Jhene Aiko, wrote a song titled "For My Brother," Miyagi Aiko, who recently passed away. It wasn't meant for the public but was released after his sudden death. Jhene wrote on her tumblr account the following words,
"I wrote and recorded this myself on my lap top, for my brother…. Miyagi . this song was really just intended for him to hear….. but i thought it would be nice to share ….It's a sad story and this just let's me know how we can be here enjoying life and gone the next. Tomorrow is never promised which is why it's important to let go of past hurts, learn to forgive and forget. You will feel better knowing you did in the end. My sincerest condolences go out to Jhene and her family at this trying time. R.I.P Miyagi Aiko.
i was so nervous to play it for him myself, so when i left to San Francisco on Thursday I had my TT play it for him….
She said his breath got calm as he listened and i know he heard every word ….
later that night he became the angel he was born to be and i am so grateful that he got to hear this before he left on his infinite journey….
now i hear him telling ME , what i was singing to him… to not give up."

Lola Monroe, Taylor Gangs First Lady, released a viral video for her "Goldie" Freestyle (Asap Rocky "Goldie" for those who are unfamiliar with the original track.) This freestyle is pretty decent and the video fits the First Lady's swag and persona. Would you say Lola aka Ms. Monroe is holding it down for the females?
I've never heard of Brianna Perry until yesterday. I stumbled across one of her videos ("Rack City Freestyle") which I thought was pretty decent. I now know that she's signed to Atlantic Records, she has a new single/video called "Marilyn Monroe," and a year old mixtape titled "Face Off." I get a glimpse of Beyonce when watching her videos and comes to find out the diva herself, Beyonce, posted Brianna's video on her website. I wonder if we shall look forward to hearing the two on a record together. She's definitely, different. This "Marilyn Monroe" song is pretty catchy but I wonder will it go far. The video was posted early this year and has over 700k views which shows that she has a solid fan base, but I decided to post this video to share with others who aren't familiar with Brianna Perry aka The Young Rich Bandit. What do you think about "Marilyn Monroe," is it hot or not?

Australian native, Iggy Azalea, signed to T.I.'s Grand Hustle label released the studio video of her lead single "Murda Bizness," produced by Bei Maejor, off her debut EP The New Classic set to release soon. Iggy might be new to the game but she's coming hard and I'm enjoying her, she's a breath of fresh air not merely because of her being a female rapper in a male dominated industry but because she's a white female rapper from Australia with your average homegirl appeal, and at that it's not like she has to try very hard. This is who she is, no gimmicks. I'm looking forward to more of Iggy Azalea, are you?
