Music is Ash Boogie's forte, the perfect getaway when she needs to regroup her thoughts and be free. DJing definitely was something that would interest Ash Boogie at an early age. Creating mixtapes for her grade school peers while only 13 and expanding her business into the city of Harlem is when she realized her calling. At the age of 16 she purchased her first set of CDJ's, that's when the doors opened for Ash Boogie to showcase her talent live rather than through her popular mixtape series, "B.A.B.I," that flooded the streets of New York.
Alongside deejaying, DJ Ash Boogie has a knack for graphic designing. Creating the overall designs and concepts for every mixtape she released shows the dedication Ash Boogie has in everything she does. As her mixtape covers created quite a stir throughout various social networking sites along with countless referrals, this meant a new opportunity for Ash Boogie to keep her name relevant if she was DJing or designing the flyers to your favorite nightclub.
Always willing to re-invent herself, Ash Boogie took to not only the music but the creation behind it all. With an undying passion for poetry, metaphors and abstract lyrics, songwriting came effortlessly for Ash Boogie. Listening to musical influences like Usher, Chris Brown, Ne-Yo and The Dream gave Ash Boogie the motivation to hone her craft that developed a gateway to step out of her comfort zone creating a more versatile sound from R&B, Pop, Rap and now Rock.
Ash Boogie understands all aspects of marketing to bridge the gap between her and the fans. From Djing, graphic designing to songwriting, DJ Ash Boogie is definitely on her way to becoming a future household name. For now you can call her a one man band.
